EMPLOYERS: CREATE A BETTER WORKPLACE FOR OPTIMAL HUMAN CAPITAL OUTPUT

Over-indebtedness places a massive burden on the consumer and has resultant
effects on the consumer’s surroundings. The knock-on effects caused by over-indebtedness, such as ill-health, lack of productivity and financial exclusion have a very detrimental effect on the consumer’s performance in the workplace. Therefore in recognising human capital as the most valuable as well as the most sensitive asset to any organisation, constant efforts should be made to provide for optimal output.

OVERVIEW OF THE PROCESS:

We assess the consumer to determine their over-indebtedness. If the consumer is approved according to our regulations and procedures we declare the consumer over-indebted and place them on the Counselling programme where:

  • We will evaluate and structure a new monthly payment plan for the consumers debts and obligations,
  • We will contact all the consumers credit providers and negotiate payment periods or reduced fees,
  • We will structure a suitable living expenses budget depending on the consumers circumstances.
  • We will contact the credit bureaus,
  • We will notify all your credit providers and credit bureaus that the consumer has been placed on a Debt Counselling programme in accordance with the National Credit Act,
  • We will apply to the National Credit Tribunal for a consent order for payments according to the negotiated payment plan.
  • We will approach the Magistrates Court for a Consent order if there is a dispute with any credit providers,
  • We will provide ongoing support,
  • We will constantly monitor the consumers situation and

We will provide the consumer with a clearance letter on completion of the programme allowing the consumer to resume their natural financial activity.
